It was great to see so many boys and staff signing up to the Great Abingdon MFL Duolingo Easter challenge. Participants studied up to five languages at a time from Welsh to Portuguese, from Hindi to Japanese. For the competition, the language in which participants achieved their highest point score has been used to determine the rankings.

Among the students, Pranit Narain is the winner of the Easter challenge. Congratulations, Pranit! He was on the ball from day one and studied Portuguese. A small prize will soon be on its way to Pranit. He is closely followed by Ben Byrne in second place and Philip Ashton in third place, both studying German. Will Darbishire just missed out on third place in this competition. Congratulations to you all.

The teachers have been equally impressive in their dedication: Mr Broadbent narrowly beat Mr Knowland and earned first place with Dr Ambrose in third place.

We hope you all enjoyed the challenge and will keep up the language(s) you have begun or continued to study.

Congratulations to everyone, especially those mentioned.
