On Monday, 45 children from four Prep Schools were invited to Abingdon to take part in ‘Make a Noise!’. Pupils spent the day working alongside the Music Department at Abingdon to help improve their techniques, and the children then performed a number of select pieces to their parents on the Amey Theatre stage in the afternoon. The day also presented an excellent opportunity for Abingdon’s own students to mentor younger pupils and then perform alongside them later in the day.
Abingdon’s Director of Music, Richard Stafford, comments: “It was very rewarding to see the marked improvement in performances throughout the course of the day and I hope that all those who came along found it productive and, most importantly, lots of fun. We look forward to welcoming more children back next year!’
