Over the Easter holidays, 33 4th Year students from Abingdon and St Helen and St Katharine took part in our third annual trip to Lyon. Pupils spent the mornings in language lessons and home stays with host families allowed them to make great progress with their French and sample some typical Lyonnaise cuisine. Afternoons were spent exploring the many sites around the city, from the ruins of the Roman theatre, and the Fourvière on the hillside, to the famous Traboules in Vieux Lyon, to the Olympique Lyonnais football stadium. The students from both schools were a real pleasure to be with and engaged positively with all of the activities and guided tours in French.
