A new event took place in the Lower School assembly just before half-term in the form of the inaugural Inter-Tutor Group Music Competition. Each of the six tutor groups had spent the last few weeks putting a performance together which had to include both instrumental and vocal elements. A wide range of instruments were involved including an electric violin, a harp, and even the bagpipes, and there were some great performances, and in 2J’s case some choreography, from the members of the chorus. Dr Preece has a difficult job deciding a winner but presented the trophy to 2H for their performance of Levitating by Dua Lipa, commenting on its tuneful and enthusiastic singing and the confident ensemble playing.
