After an introductory talk from School Archivist Mrs Wearne, the First Years enjoyed finding out more about the history of Abingdon School on a walk around town. They visited St Helen’s Church to see the tomb of John Royyse, the old schoolroom that was built in 1563 following his endowment, and St Nicolas’ Church. They also took in the excellent view of the town from the roof of Abingdon Museum.
