We have had another busy term in the Languages department. Lower school boys have been enjoying Claymation Club, a plasticine animation club in which a green screen has opened up opportunities for much visual fun before adding German or French language to the clips. Middle school pupils have been involved in exchange visits to their French, Spanish and German partners in joint trips with St Helen’s in which some good friendships have been forged. Sixth form linguists have celebrated the European Day of Languages with a dinner and talk on the translation of books while sixth form Hispanists enjoyed a theatre trip to London to see the play they are currently studying. Fifth and Sixth formers had the opportunity to have a taste of studying languages at university in an outing to Bath. Watch out for upcoming events and competitions in the Languages department in the Lent term.
