Four Third Year pupils – Finn Dimmestol, Alex Drake, Theo Payne and Harrison Wong – travelled to Buckland Primary School near Faringdon to teach the 20-minute Norwegian, German, Spanish and Cantonese lessons they had spent the term preparing, as part of the Third Year Services programme.
The pupils did an excellent job in connecting and engaging with the classes. The lessons were really well-thought out and all the pupils helped each other, going round the tables and helping with the pair work tasks. The Buckland class teacher sent this note of thanks: “Today was a huge success and the children loved it. You should feel very proud of yourselves. Your lessons included a lovely mix of vocabulary and fun activities – all very impressive!”
