Lower School pupils from Abingdon and St Helen's gathered this evening for a joint social event in the form of a Scrapheap Challenge.
Working together in teams of four they had to design a balloon-powered car and an egg-carrying parachute system – with varying degrees of success!
A science-based trivia quiz provided some stimulus for discussion over dinner.
