Congratulations to Gordon who was a global finalist in the Law Category of the John Locke essay competition. Gordon was among 19,000 entrants to the competition and his shortlisted essay was on the topic, ‘Suppose that you were contemplating, in violation of the rules of this competition, submitting an essay written for you by artificial intelligence. What would be the difference between such an act and ordinary attempted theft?’

Gordon was invited to a weekend of lectures and college dinners which culminated in a presentation at the Sheldonian in Oxford, followed by a reception at the Ashmolean Museum. Gordon is now busy preparing his UCAS application as he hopes to make a career in Law in the future.
