A group of First Year pupils travelled to the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford on a Classics Department trip last weekend. After an initial treasure hunt task, they explored the truth behind the myth of Theseus and the minotaur by examining objects from Minoan Crete, looked at representations of the gods on Greek coinage, and studied objects that showed depictions of the myths of Hercules and the Trojan War.
