Following a successful day of music making where over 300 Abingdon students offered up performances during the school day the Intermediate competition, focussing on students of grade 6-8 standard, was held last Friday. We were delighted to welcome Tom Neal, Director of Music at New College School to adjudicate our competition. He commented on the breadth of music making on offer and the generally high standard of musicianship across the cohort. After the 22 performances, it was Laurence who was awarded highly commended, Lawrence who obtained third place, Vincent in second and Toby in first. Congratulations to our prize winners and to all who performed, and our heartfelt thanks to Tom Neal for his insightful adjudication.
