The second years enjoyed the annual history trip to Hampton Court Palace. Pupils engaged with the rich Tudor, Stuart and Georgian history that the Palace has to offer, and even caught a glimpse of Henry VIII himself! Each group had two second year presenters who gave pre-prepared talks on Henry VIII’s character, interests and exploits as a young king, and his attempts to obtain an annulment in the late 1520s. Special thanks go to our three lower sixth helpers, Oskar Muller, Josh Massey-Thompson and Harvey Bell, who gave some captivating and interactive talks to the groups of pupils as they explored the Palace.
