Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award teams completed their practice expedition to the Yorkshire Dales last weekend. The conditions were clear but very windy making walking on the high peaks challenging. The expedition saw some teams climb the famous Yorkshire three peaks; Pen-y-ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m). Teams will now start planning their assessed expedition to the remote and rugged mountains of Glencoe in Scotland.
