With its beautiful architecture and renowned universities attracting visitors from all over the world, the university city of Oxford is steeped in history. For a group of Abingdon boarders, however, the main attraction one weekend in February was not the prestigious colleges or the stunning buildings, but a spooky ghost walking tour.
Led by a local guide, the tour took the boarders on a journey through some of the narrow streets and alleyways of Oxford, revealing the city’s dark and haunted past. As the group walked from one haunted spot to another, the guide regaled them with chilling tales of ghosts, ghouls, and haunted houses.
As the tour came to an end, the boarders were left with a sense of excitement and wonder, and a newfound appreciation for the rich history and spooky legends of Oxford.
