Twenty-one third year students studying German attended the inaugural German film extension day at Headington School yesterday, along with pupils from Headington, Cheney and John Mason.
The day included a variety of sessions about how to watch film and the importance of film as a medium, the history of German films in ten films, Berlin as portrayed on screen and Lotte Reiniger, the original film animation artist.
The day was a fantastic opportunity for boys to broaden their linguistic and cultural knowledge, aptly guided by the speaker Karolina Watroba from the University of Oxford's Merton College.
