Last week, over one hundred Fourth Year students undertook the rivers fieldwork part of the Geography GCSE course. The hands-on experience helped to deepen their understanding of how river characteristics change as they go from source to mouth. Students collected data on the width, depth and velocity of the River Ock in order to calculate the discharge.
