Our Lower Sixth French students took part in a translation workshop with Dr Jennifer Higgins looking at how best to translate mood from French into English. Beginning with cartoons and short dialogue, discussion then turned to the opening of Camus’ ‘L’Étranger’ and the challenges it poses for a translator. The students enjoyed putting their language skills and creativity to the test. We are grateful to Jennifer for putting on such an interesting workshop.
