The first years enjoyed a morning of team building activities, intended to help them get to know each other and develop their communication and problem solving skills.
They had to complete tasks while blindfolded, played games with a giant parachute, had to use their bodies to spell out their tutor group name, and competed in a tower building challenge. Their parents then had the chance to meet each other over a buffet lunch.
Later that day many of the first years had another opportunity to demonstrate how well they could work as a team with a triangular rugby tournament against Bedford Modern and Caldicott – the boys were in great form, winning all four of their matches.
