Mr Jackson's History class, 1J, have been studying the Battle of Hastings for the second half of this term and took advantage of a sunny afternoon to re-enact the key moments in the battle. The class had made their own Norman helmets and some impressive Norman and Saxon weaponry for the event. See if you can spot moments such as: the Saxon shield wall being formed on Senlac Hill; Duke William at prayer with his men under the papal banner; the Normans attack with archers and cavalry; the feint attack to break the Saxon shield wall; the death of King Harold and the crowning of King William.
