The Advanced Infantry Cadre and the Advanced Cadet Cadre underwent a very enjoyable exercise at Bramley training area.
This gave the cadets a chance to improve their individual skills and drills, including harbour drills and cooking in the field, as well as their teamwork. The cadets spent Sunday learning about survival skills such as how to build shelters and start fires before they went into occupying a harbour.
That evening they spent time doing reconnaissance patrols as well as stag through the night. In the morning the cadets spent time learning about both pairs and fire team fire and manoeuvre drills before progressing on to dry run section attacks.
Unfortunately, due to external circumstances, we were not allowed to use blank rounds however it was still a thoroughly rewarding weekend with many NCOs being able to step into and practice new positions.
