On Wednesday, members of the Chapel Choir were invited to sing evensong at Winchester Cathedral. Following a brief tour of the magnificent 14th century cathedral, the pupils rehearsed in the Quire, accompanied by Mr Morrin on the cathedral’s wonderful organ. Opening the service with Ayleward Responses, the choir then sang the psalm with great clarity and diction. Wood in Eb, No. 2 were the chosen canticles for the service whilst the choir sang Ireland’s ‘Greater love hath no man’ with wonderful intensity and nuance. Special mention to Luca (2nd Year) and Ed (U6) for their excellent solos whilst we look forward to returning to the cathedral in the near future.
