On 10 November, the cross country club raced in the ESAA regional round from which the top 3 placed teams would progress to the national final. Everyone raced well on the hilly course set in the beautiful grounds of Stowe School. Daragh led the juniors home with a strong 10th place and 4th place for the team overall. A well paced race led to a 24th place finish for Xavier and an overall 5th for inters team. Club captain Quinn destroyed the rest of the field to win the seniors race, but the question was, could the very young team follow him home for qualification? After a year plagued by injury, Monty had a brilliant return in 7th, followed by Jacob and Ralph in 10th and 13th respectively. The team secured 2nd place overall and will race at Woodbridge School in the national final on 2 December.
