Abingdon School was proud to host the Southern England Rugby Teacher Development Day on Wednesday. An inspiring and action-packed event that brought together over 80 staff from more than 50 schools across the UK.
Organised in partnership with England Rugby, the day offered a unique opportunity for teachers and coaches to experience what it’s like to be “In Camp with England U18s.” Led by the England U18 coaching team and Rugby Football Union development managers, the sessions provided world-class insight into coaching practice, player development, and team culture.
Despite the warm conditions, our pupils were superb ambassadors for Abingdon. They demonstrated great resilience, character, and enthusiasm as they took part in practical sessions and showcased the technical elements of the game under the guidance of national coaches.
A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise, deliver, and support this memorable event, and we hope all the guests who attended enjoyed this unique day.
