Doodle castle club is an art club mostly based around making detailed drawings using a biro, due to its numerous tones, which allow for more detailed and realistic shading.

Mr Williamson always likes us to take our time – it is better to have one perfect tower then lots of unfinished ones and this is one of the main reasons why most of the finished pieces are of such high quality.

The ‘doodling’ element comes in as Mr Williamson likes for us to experiment with as many styles and methods as possible while sticking to the theme given – this time it was castles. It is also more doodle-like as we were told to draw the castle tower by tower, as opposed to sketching the whole thing first, giving the finished drawing an almost cartoony look.

I really enjoy the club and I am excited to see what new and exciting things we are going to doodle next.
