Eight 4th Year students showcased their impressive canoeing skills as they tackled their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Canoeing Assessment on the River Medway. The group, braving the intense heat, embarked on an exhilarating journey that tested their mettle and paddling prowess. As they made their way from Tonbridge to Allington Lock, the students encountered several adrenaline-pumping moments while navigating the exciting canoe shoots along the river.

The canoe shoots, known for their fast-flowing water and sudden drops, presented a formidable challenge for the young adventurers. With their hearts racing and adrenaline pumping, the students skilfully manoeuvred their canoes through the rushing currents, demonstrating their agility and composure in the face of daunting obstacles. Each successful passage through the shoots brought a sense of accomplishment, further fuelling their determination to conquer the entire assessment.

Despite the unforgiving weather conditions, the students’ resilience and teamwork shone through.
