Last Thursday, the cross-country squad travelled to Marlborough to compete in their annual invitational meet. A truly testing hilly course was made all the more challenging by the heavy rain earlier in the week, making conditions heavy and slippery underfoot. In the junior race S.Wood gauged his effort superbly to finish just ahead of his teammates R.Allen and M.Salmon who rounded out an all Abingdon podium. In the inter and senior race Q.Miell-Ingram and W.d’Arcy both led from the front and never looked back.

The junior team packed well and finished in first place, as did the intermediate team. The seniors finished second behind a strong Harrow contingent.
