The Abingdon Science Partnership (ASP) would like to celebrate the children and staff in Year 2 at St Edmund’s Catholic Primary School for getting stuck in to CREST Star science activities every afternoon during British Science Week. While we sadly couldn’t visit St Edmund’s in person, ASP was delighted to loan the boxes of resources and activity plans that we’ve been developing over the years. The activities included Sniffly Sneezes, where children investigate the properties of materials to decide on the best tissue, and Be Seen Be Safe, where children use blackout ‘bear caves’ to investigate how reflective different materials are for designing an outfit to be seen in the dark. We look forward to Year 2 receiving their CREST Star certificates and badges!
