Lower School pupils were pleased to welcome adventurer chef Mike Keen to their assembly on Friday. Mike told the story of his 2023 expedition in which he aimed to kayak solo for 3000 km along the coast of Greenland to raise awareness of climate change. The attentive audience heard of close encounters with whales and the interesting dishes that Mike ate as a result of his decision to follow an exclusively Inuit diet to see what impact it had on his health and mental wellbeing. They also enjoyed handling genuine polar bear claws afterwards.
