Our friends in Moldova have worked hard over the Christmas period to make a difference to as many children as possible. Using a financial donation from Abingdon, our partner charity Agape offered 100 Christmas presents to children from three villages and then encouraged older Moldovan students to add to this by creating more Christmas packages. As a result pupils from Petre Stefanuca High School, Grigiore Vieru Gymnasium, Zimbreni and Ulmu Schools prepared another 200 Christmas presents for children, designing greeting cards and donating gifts.

Nicu Bocaneala, Director of Agape, says: “The impact of this initiative is huge. In total, 300 Christmas presents made many children happy. The whole process of preparing the gifts generated a lot of joy and fun, and was a great example of team work!”
