As the days become shorter, it was a fitting time for the Chapel Choir to sing their first service of Choral Evensong this year. Dating back from the reformation, the service of Choral Evensong is one of the few music-led services in the daily liturgy, and the Chapel Choir led our worship ably with performances of Stanford’s Canticles in Bb and John Hilton’s Lord for Thy Tender Mercy’s Sake. Philip Kimber was ever present on the organ, and particular credit should also go to those new members of the Choir, namely our trebles.
