The annual Lower School Charity Football Tournament was back with a vengeance after being cancelled last year due to lockdown. 14 Lower School teams took part in a very competitive and friendly afternoon of football, with some very close games in the group stages. The teams were gradually whittled down through the quarter and semi finals until ABB (Alex Clark, Ethan Day, Samuel Grocutt, Gleb Kuprin (capt), Robert Lloyd and Charlie Sutton) took on 6 Guys (Alex Drake, Finley Hoy, Riad Kapetanovic (capt), Tommy Lane, Theo Payne and Guy Vivian) in the final. Another very tight match ensued, but 6 Guys were declared the overall champions.
This tournament was set up several years ago in memory of Richard Anderson, a pupil who died from meningitis, and £250 was raised today for the Meningitis Research Foundation.
