The annual Lower School five a side charity football tournament took place on the final Wednesday afternoon of term with nine teams battling it out for the coveted trophy. After some very close group matches, the final was between Team Avocados on Toast with Butter, captained by 1st Year Isaac, and Team N’golo N’golo, captained by 2nd Year Zahar. It looked like the game was going the 2nd Years’ way, until the 1st Years equalised in the final seconds. No goals were scored in extra time so everything came down to a penalty shootout in which the 2nd Years held their nerve and proved victorious. £154 was raised for The Meningitis Research Foundation and over £100 was raised in addition for The Brain Tumour Charity by a cake stall run by members of 2C.
