Last week it was a great privilege for the Chapel Choir to be invited back to Winchester Cathedral to sing evensong. The choir were greeted, upon arrival in the cathedral, with a wonderful and immersive temporary installation of whales whilst the atmospheric lighting added to the whole ambiance of this iconic building. The choir sang wonderfully, with the canticles being Noble in B Minor whilst the anthem chosen was Fauré’s ‘Cantique de Jean Racine’. The pupils sang with sensitivity, clarity and understanding and we look forward to our next choral challenge, performance of John Rutter’s Requiem on Wednesday 19 March.
