During Activities Weekend, our newest CCF cadets went on a training weekend where they learned a mixture of practical and theoretical work. They found out more about how to manoeuvre in a forest setting without being caught and how to stay focused on their organisational skills.

Recruits were asked what they enjoyed most about the Training Weekend:

  • I really enjoyed when we had to crawl through the undergrowth and threw the glow sticks as close as we could to the helicopter.
  • Watching the demonstration at night about why things are heard.
  • The many useful lessons about how to operate during exercise.
  • The camouflage hiding drill with the fern leaves.
  • I loved all how all the lessons were presented.
