The 4th Year and Upper Sixth Ancient Historians visited the British Museum to look at key artefacts to do with their course. The Upper Sixth were looking amongst other things, at the Parthenon Frieze, a patriotic representation of a perfect Athenian society, while the 4th Year, currently studying Persia, were able to see the Cyrus Cylinder, parts of the Apadana staircase relief carvings from Persepolis, (including what Mr Price maintained were offerings of footballs) as well as relief carving from other Near Eastern cultures to explore the iconography of power in the region. The trip helped to put the study of Persia into a wider cultural context.
