The Boat Club sent nine VIIIs to Marlow Regatta for some much anticipated post lockdown racing at the weekend. The highlight was the first regatta of the year for the J14s and J15s.

Facing most of the top schools in the country at a well-attended regatta, the J15 A and B crews both raced through to the A final of their event with the J15 A and B placing 6th in their final, an excellent result after such a disrupted year. The J15 C, racing other school B crews, placed 11th and made a huge improvement between races, so well done to them.

The J14s have had an action packed week, with plenty of racing and some stellar performances. Having successfully raced Shiplake and then St Edward’s as a warm up for Marlow they headed to the Olympic lake at Dorney to take on the rest of the country.

Their racing was enthusiastic and showed total commitment with an excellent outcome. The A crew placed 3rd in the top final. The B crew placed 2nd in the top final. The C crew were also superb and won the B final of the B boat event. Congratulations to all the rowers and coaches and who have worked with such enthusiasm and success in the last few months.
