On Sunday 33 boarders made the trip to Bristol to see the SS Great Britain, an iron steamship that at the time of its construction 175 years ago was the largest ship in the world.
Highlights included being able to walk under the ship in the drydock in which it was originally built, as well as see the cabins, galley, engine room and cargo holds on the ship itself.
Afterwards, there was a walk through Bristol Harbour, and then the boys had some free time to explore in small groups. Despite the wet weather, all the boarders enjoyed the day out.
