On Saturday, the Badminton Club 1st VIII took on Harrow at home. This is always an extremely challenging fixture with an exceptionally high standard of play from both sides. This year was no different! A dominant Harrow 1st pair took all four of their games but Abingdon fought hard with some significant success from the our second (Thierry and Nikhil) and third (Tom and Leon [c.]) pairs. Both of them won 3/4 of their matches. Overall the score line was a draw at 8-8 and a good indication of the closeness of these matches. We look forward to playing them again in January.
