On Saturday, the Abingdon 1st VIII took on Bromsgrove School. This is always an enjoyable fixture and this year was no different. Bromsgrove approached the game with a couple of convincing wins against other schools under their belt. They started well but a solid defence from the Abingdon players, followed by a real effort from our first and third pairs, led to our eventual victory. In the end the score was 10-6 to Abingdon but the scores in games really indicated the competitive nature of the fixture. Well done to all the players involved.
