A new round of weekly Film Academy sessions launched recently at Larkmead School with 17 new students gathering to work together on the challenge of making a short film by Christmas. On Wednesday, students from Larkmead and Fitzharrys visited Abingdon to pitch their ideas in the first round of new AFU film pitches.

Thursday saw OA and AFU alumnus Michael Bicarregui return to help current Abingdon students lead the first of two lunchtime sessions on stop-motion animation for students at Thameside Primary School.

Finally, on Friday, over a hundred students from four OX14 schools travelled to Fitzharrys for the launch of a new round of workshops run by the Oxfordshire Academy of Broadcast Journalism, brainchild of professional broadcasters Olly Hogben and Blythe Lawrence.
