At the end of last term the first years went on a trip to Compton Verney to prepare for their work this term on 'Mysterious Landscapes'.

It was a very enjoyable trip and the boys had a chance to look around some of the galleries, discuss art works and produce their own mixed media piece.

There was also time to enjoy the wonderful Caperbility Brown landscape and sketch outside.

Quotes from some of the students are below:

“It was fun and I learnt lots.”

” I learnt about aerial perspective.”

“I have developed a deeper understanding of perspective and learnt about seascapes, landscapes and townscapes.”

“My overall impression of the day was that it was very good and I really liked the paintings.”
