In June, Abingdon joined the Boarding Schools Association (BSA) Boarding Orchard project. The initiative set up in 2014 is now supported worldwide by 130 boarding schools. It seeks to raise environmental awareness by encouraging students to plant fruit trees in their school grounds. Today, it is the largest orchard by distance. Head, Mike Windsor, was on hand to break the ground as the first tree was planted.
