Tuesday saw the launch of The Missing 2000 which is a comprehensive document put together in collaboration between Tom Arbuthnott, Eton College’s Director of Outreach and Anushka Chakravarty – Deputy Head of London Academy of Excellence in Stratford.

It explores a number of different ways independent and state schools work together to help the most disadvantaged students achieve their aspirations.

Abingdon School in Partnership is proud to be represented as one of the case studies and the academic mentoring scheme which is referred to has now been running for three years and has seen hundreds of students from schools across the town collaborate with one another to help build selfconfidence and improve academic outcomes.

We look forward to using ideas from this booklet to help broaden the range of partnership activities that we are able to develop for the benefit of all students across Abingdon.
