The First Year visited Corinium Museum, in the modern town of Cirencester. The pupils enjoyed testing their Latin translation skills on various tombstones, including those of a 6-year old, a 75-year old, a Swiss soldier, and a Celtic woman called Bodicacia. Pupils also retold to each other key myths which were displayed on the excellent mosaics in the museum. Finally in the workshop, pupils explored the lives of six different people who lived and died in Roman Corinium, getting to dress up as them.
