It has been an action-packed and highly successful week for the U15A Cricket side, culminating in county cup glory.

First up was the semi-final away at St Edward’s. Due to the weather, the match was reduced to a thrilling 5-over shootout. Will spearheaded the bowling attack, completely shifting momentum by taking an incredible 3 wickets for just 3 runs in his single over. Thanks to this tight bowling, Abingdon comfortably chased down the target of 46 with seven wickets to spare.

This victory set up a Friday evening clash away against MCS in the County Cup Final. After losing the toss and being asked to field, Patrick led the bowling performance with an impressive spell of 3 for 17 off his 4 overs, restricting MCS to 113/8 from their 20 overs. Abingdon’s chase got off to a shaky start with a few early wickets, but a brilliant, steadying partnership between George (50) and Patrick (32) saw the team home with two overs to spare.

With the county title secured, Abingdon now proudly progresses to the national stages of the T20 Competition. Huge congratulations to the squad!
