The Abingdon team competed in the regional heat of the UK Space Design Competition, at Oxford Brookes University. Alongside a group of pupils from Headington Rye and Kendrick School, their task was to design a cargo ship capable of transporting goods around the inner solar system. The standard was incredibly high, with pupils specialising in departments such as orbital mechanics, finance, CAD, and psychology. Although the team was not successful in making it through to the national final, their proposal was impressive, and we hope to return to the competition with even more experience next year.
