Available at A Level, Government and Politics students will acquire an in-depth knowledge of the political systems of the UK and the USA. They will explore constitutional debates, the power of the state, and the rights of the individual, developing a critical awareness of the changing nature of politics and the relevance of political ideas like Conservatism, Socialism and Liberalism.

Teaching is seminar-style, based on informed discussion and a comparative approach. Outside the classroom, students can engage with the Senior Politics Society, attend conferences and join extension sessions with Oxford PPE students.
