The Art Department is a thriving hub of creativity. We aim to develop ambitious and imaginative work through a wide range of approaches – from painting and screen printing to ceramic sculpture and digital drawing – each informed by historical and contemporary art practice. In order that their work should have a context, pupils are helped to relate their work to other artists through regular gallery visits and the resources of the departmental library.
Our exceptional facilities include four large classrooms, a ceramics room, a dark room, and a large Sixth Form studio. Many of our students go on to study at top universities for careers in fine art, film and architecture.
