Abingdon School’s rowing crews recently showcased their talent at the world-renowned Henley Royal Regatta. While the 1st VIII pre-qualified, two other Abingdon crews faced the highly competitive qualifying races.

The Prince Albert four (made up of 2nd VIII rowers) put in a strong effort but narrowly missed qualification in a tough field. Our J16 squad’s Temple Challenge Cup crew also delivered a fantastic performance, ending their season with one of their best rows and ranking as the 8th fastest schoolboy crew in their event.

The pre-qualified 1st VIII, despite a challenging draw against a seeded crew, delivered the fastest Princess Elizabeth race of the day, demonstrating their world-class standard. Abingdon extends thanks to all rowers, parents, staff, and OAs for their incredible support throughout the season.
