Lower School pupils have been exercising their rhetorical muscles in English lessons and tutor periods this term with a focus on persuasive writing and public speaking. This culminated in the grand final of the annual Lower School Public Speaking Competition on the last day of term which saw 1P, the First Year winners, taking on Second Year champions 2H. 2H spoke on the future of transportation while 1P’s topic was social media. All six speakers did incredibly well and the standard of oratory was very high indeed. Mrs Keevil had a tough job as judge but gave the win to 1P.
